This is to enable end users determine what kind of laptop suits their purposes for wanting a laptop. The laptops are rated having gone through some tests and apart from the usual basic tests, these were the tests carried out:

LAPTOP 1 - HP PAVILION 15

1) Display Brightness - 6/10
This laptop runs on 1920x1080 resolution as its highest resolution which is a Full Hd display. It's not the highest display nor the brightest but has a balanced display for movies and games

2) Movie Display Quality - 9/10
This is one of the best laptops out there when it comes to movie watching, all thanks to its powerful 10th gen processor which renders high quality movie display; as well as the Intel Iris Plus graphics. Simply put, it has the cinematic display effect.

3) Sound loudness - 9/10
Like it or not, it has a loud sound that would dwarf most laptops in comparison, all thanks to the Bang & Olufsen sound embedded into this machine.

4) Sound Quality - 8.5/10
Just as you have the loudness to reckon with, you definitely have the chance to hear the wordings and sounds that comes out of the speakers. They are clear, crisp and loud.

5) Game Performance - unrated
This aspect won't be touched as the 4gb Nvidia covers the fact that these would play 3D games

LAPTOP 2 - DELL LATITUDE 12 5285

1) Display Brightness - 7.5/10
This laptop runs on 1920 x 1280 resolution. This is also known as Wuxga (Wide Ultra Extended Graphics Array). This beats the Pavilion 15 above in brightness and you can tell the difference all thanks to the glossy Corning gorilla glass.

2) Movie Display Quality - 8/10
This falls a little short to the HP Pavilion 15 above but provides viewers some of the best in movie viewing

3) Sound Loudness - 6/10
Not as loud or powerful as the Pavilion 15 above but it has a balanced loudness which comes from behind the 2-in-1 laptop, giving a balanced effect

4) Sound Quality - 7/10
There is no interference in the quality of sound that comes from this laptop; no breakage or cracks. It emits an even flow that makes a quiet room watching a wonderful experience

5) Game performance - 7.5/10
As hard as it is to believe, this laptop is capable of running many quality games which may not be in the likes of the latest God of War and other graphics demanding games but this cutie here would run games like PES 2017, Overwatch, Ninja Blade well without lag all thanks to it having one of the best integrated gaming graphics in the form of the Intel HD 620 graphics, coupled with the 1920x1280 resolution as well as a 512gb SSD to make performance flow.

Issue: when set to the full resolution, a small portion loses its touch capabilities. This was a mistake by Dell as the resolution of 1920x1280 was an overkill; this was later corrected in the core i7 of this model in which the resolution was dropped to 1920x1080. Setting this laptop to this core i7 resolution enabled the touch capability of that small portion but gave a small Windows display. Asides this, everything else seems great.

IN COMPARISON
The 2-in-1 Dell Latitude shouldn't be compared to the Pavilion but for it to make it's claim as one of the best there is, it has to be compared to one of the best. In speed, the Dell beats the Pavilion all thanks to the 512gb SSD as well as its 2.7ghz speed. It's why it's known as a mainstream device.
