*Osinbajo Never Made Derogatory Statement Against IPOB, Group Raises Alarm Over Fake News*

A political group has raised alarm over the new coordinated attempt to malign the person of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, describing it as fake news.

The Ndigbo Youth Caucus (NYC) said it is not only ridiculous that some elements will claim that the Vice President made such outrageous statement, but that it is disgraceful that they will fabricate an outright lie and peddle it.

The group president, Charles Okoye, challenged the fake news peddlers to provide the video where they claimed he said those exact words.

"It is laughable for anyone to think that the Vice President, then Acting President will assemble South East leaders and traditional rulers and say such a thing to their face.

"Will Igbo leaders seat there and allow anyone say such things without reacting? Will they not have voiced out if this was true?

Okoye challenged the peddlers of the fake news to state when and where the Vice President made the fabricated speech. "We all know that Prof Osinbajo is tech savvy and the videos of his engagements are on his ofiicial social media pages. If anyone has a clip to the contrary, let them show it to the world as proof.”

The group urged Nigerians to disregard the fake news, stressing that they are only trying to sow division in the country.

The fake news peddlers claimed that Prof Osinbajo said, "IPOB is a threat to Nigeria's unity and we the federal executive must crush them and their activities by fire by thunder. So we beg true Nigerians to provide our security agencies with IPOB's information/plans/activities for proper action to be taken immediately!". They also claimed that he said no one should retaliate against Fulani herdsmen.

"I plead to Nigerians don’t retaliate Fulani herdsmen killings, pray for them instead; just as we the federal executive are praying hard now."

We know their end game but again, they have failed on this one.

Osinbajo was invited by their fathers and grandfathers for 50 years Biafra anniversary and he made a speech where he spoke about one Nigeria and how we should live in peaceful coexistence, does he look like someone who practice double standard like you.

The falsehood peddlers should just give us
