Is Nigeria ready to pile up more debts on a shaky, consistently postponed project whilst the economy is struggling? Africa’s largest state oil and gas company, Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) has recently hinted on its plan to acquire a 20 percent equity share (estimated at about $3bn) of the 650,000 barrels per day capacity refinery project of Africa’s richest Aliko Dangote. https://investmentcable.com/nnpc-20-acquisition-dangote-refinery-to-drag-nigeria-into-further-debts/ 6 Likes 3 Shares

Both NNPC and Nigeria will be great again. I am recently a guy that just likes preaching positivity about Naija. While you are here, I made a thread on what https is and what it's not. I believe you will find it useful as cyber security is a big issue today. Link: https://www.nairaland.com/6577084/what-https-what-it-not CHEERS! 3 Likes |

This refinary is DOA, it will in no way reduce the prices of fuel to N65 per liter, rather it will make things worse, anything involving dangote and the Nigerian government usually end up in pains for Nigerians. This I have seen. 94 Likes 8 Shares |

I want to believe Dangote knows his game..ahahhaha. He is releasing the 20% for corrupt officials so he can always have his way with our politicians. Anyone in power is already settled indirectly. Dangote will continue monopolizing everything he touches. Though, I respect this man, but it is generally not good for us in the long term. Government should be kicked out of businesses. 13 Likes |

Shame has left the watch word of our leaders. You abandoned your own refinery, and you want to acquire 20% minority stake from dangote refinery. What happen to the billions of naira spent on rehabilitation of Port Harcourt refinery. We shouldn't expect it to work abi? 19 Likes 2 Shares |
