All past Presidents have security details for life. Even in the USA. You're a national treasure.

In an extreme case, the house of Late Babatunde Idiagbon who died in 1999 has full military detail till now.

Short story :

Idiagbon a Muslim, married a white woman, but as ferocious as he was, ALL his kids were Christians even when he was alive.

He had a mosque in his house and the very upper class of Ilorin said Jumat prayers there.

After he died.... the wife said she no want again. She banned worshippers from using the compound.

Trust Ilorin Alfas, they adamantly refused, saying ehnnnn they used to pray there while Idiagbon was alive.

I learnt na dogs and koboko whips soldiers used to chase away worshippers.... and that was that

Muslims relocated to Late General Adisa (former Minister for Works) house to pray. His residence is just on the next street.

So you expect the son of a retired general to travel alone? Common use your sense na. They are entitled to military protection for life.

This is the reason why our leaders always take advantage of us , Simply because most of us don't know some of the things our leaders do are not proper.

In a working country, A retired general by right who no longer has any official government appointment should not be entitled to any security detail for himself and family ..... If he wants to he can simply provide one for himself but the funding should be entirely from his pocket.
