Most buyers don't understand what car importers and dealers go through. Unofficial 1$ rate is N500 and buyers will still be looking for Tokunbo Corrolla for 2.2m. How?
Let's do little analysis here
A good 2005-2007 Corolla abroad will cost between $2500-$3000 including Charges
Towing: $240-$320 depending on location
Shipping: $1000x500
Clearing: 480,000
$3000x500= 1,500,000
240x500=. 120,000
1000x500=. 500,000
Clearing =. 460,000
Repairs=. 50,000
Total=. 2,630,000.00
This is what the averagely will bring in a good Corrolla as at today aside from profit of the importer or dealer. However the price can be lesser if you buy a badly accidented car or you can source your $ at a cheaper rate. Nigeria is no longer where it used to be, but customers no dey gree. May God help those of us in this business. Yet consumers will be looking for accident free and low milleage cars with N 2.2m. Even at aunctions those class of vehicles are more expensive

You Obviously don’t know what u r saying,$ 410 for where?I don’t think you are in Nigeria at All.410 per $ has been since Last year.As at yesterday it was 500 per $

Do u remember Corolla from 2003-2006 is Uderaged nd u can’t Clear less Dan 500k I.e Grimaldi nd Sallaum won’t do less dan 530/550k.Only God will save us in this soo called Country.

Is good to face reality ..people are not willing to sell their old car cos they might not be able to buy another given the prevailing inflation and rise in dollar...This is the plane truth ..lamentation won't change nothing .Go and keep building your money ...atleast you most have from 1.6m upwards to enable you get what u are looking for...stop living in the past . Truth is bitter but I am not afraid of saying it
