"Accelerationism" is an ideology that tries to speed up the development of capitalism within capitalism and eventually push it to the brink of extinction. To some extent, it borrows and plays on Marx's ideas about the crisis of capitalism, but goes to the other extreme when it comes to concrete elaboration. |

MELVANA: Imagine my surprise and delight to find a post about Acceleratonism, which is a field that I have only just recently discovered. However I imagine this thread would be better placed in the Politics section or the Religion/Philosophy section. What do you want to discuss with this thread exactly? Perhaps you should explain what it is and what the various branches of it talk about. especially how it is relevant to today's trends of transhumanism. Even the idea that the vaccines that people are getting regarding Covid may involve microchipping humans. There is the religious angle. When the bible talks about the mark of the beast and total control on peoples finances predicted. Or the Taoist concept that extremes revert to their opposite (yin yang dynamics). So if you push capitalism to it's limit you'll end up with the opposite of capitalism, which is kind of like what Marx was talking about. Here are some good videos that helped me understand the movement: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lrOVKHg_PJQ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cVED4I1xFZw |
