Chairman, Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF), Kayode Fayemi, the Governor of Ekiti State, has criticised President Muhammadu Buhari over the suspension of the micro-blogging website, Twitter.

The Ekiti State Governor described whoever advised President Buhari to take the step as his biggest enemy, are the advise is irresponsible.

The suspension was announced by Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed suspending the activities of Twitter in Nigeria.

Governor Fayemi started that the suspension of Twitter in Nigeria space is not justifiable by argument after the micro-blogging site removed a dangerous, irresponsible and insensitive tweet by the President.

Governor Fayemi on his verified Twitter account berated the federal government on the development and defined the action as an “indefensible move”.

He tweeted, “Suspending @Twitter from Nigeria simply because they removed a dangerous, irresponsible & insensitive tweet by @MBuhari is the most absurd and counterproductive move that the FG could have made.

“Whoever advised Mr President to make this indefensible move is his biggest enemy,” he said.

Don't mind the idiots. More than 30 innocent Nigerians died in the hand of Fulani herders along the Ebonyi/Benue border just last week. No press conference, no condemnation by the Jihadists government.

School children has become endangered species in the north yet no press conference. Lie Mohammed is not giving us minute by minute update on government effort to rescue them. They don't just care, because they think they are emperors that have conquered Nigeria.

Power belongs to the people. Democracy is all about the people. Government derives it's legitimacy by signing a social contract to defend the citizens against their enemies both foreign and domestic. The moment any government absolved itself of such a responsibility, with the people seeking new ways to secure themselves, that government has lost legitimacy.
