The famous microblogging platform has removed “inciting” statements by Nnamdi Kanu, the head of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), a separatist group fighting for the Republic of Biafra, over 24 hours after the Nigerian government deemed Twitter’s activities unlawful. The IPOB commander threatened to terrorize Nigerian soldiers stationed in the southeast in a provocative tweet. In addition, he used pejorative terms to disparage certain government leaders.
