BREAKING: FG Drops Only Condition To Lift Twitter Ban In Nigeria by Manamana: 5:15pm On Jun 07, 2021
The federal government has said that there is no definite timeline for lifting the ban placed on the use of popular social media platform, Twitter in Nigeria.

Conversing with reporters on Monday during a meeting with some envoys, Geoffrey Onyeama, Minister of Foreign Affairs, stated that the only condition to lift the indefinite suspension on Twitter in Nigeria is if the platform can be used ‘responsibly‘.

The minister, however, refuted the claims that President Muhammadu Buhari’s led government said Twitter is threatening the country. Onyeama explained that the suspension of the microblogging platform was a measure to stop the platform from being used to destabilize the country.

You all done hear? Use twitter responsibly and the ban will be lifted!

Though I kind of doubt all we Nigerians or anyones everywhere really, can ever all use twitter responsibly, lol. I mean, we don't even all use Nairaland or church or mosque or Allah and God and Jesus and Mohammed responsibly so what's the chance of us all using twitter responsibly, eh?

But I might be wrong and the rapture might rap and give us all new hearts and minds and souls one day because nothing is impossible for the Gods, I'm told.

May the day soon come I, pray.

Which one is 'responsibly' again?
A whole president couldn't use the platform responsibly which led to his tweet being deleted, so you expect Nigerians to do what your president couldn't do.
