There is need to nip this impending implosion in the bud. The government (Federal, State and Local Government) with stakeholders (traditional rulers, community leaders and the people) need to reason together and avert an unpleasant disintegration. If there is going to be any disintegration, it should be peaceful. Though diversity could be merry (in my opinion), if we are unable to stay, then let's divide, but peacefully. Why kill, kill and kill to agitate? Are the people (security personnel and civilians) being killed the problem of this country? I don't think so. The ones fueling division and their family members are protected somehow.

Close your mouth. How many people did Fulanis kill in Igangan and Benue in just 3 days, approximately 100. Proffer solutions to your home first, because charity beings at home.

Good one. Burn police stations. Attack military checkpoints. Bomb prisons and free dangerous inmates. Chase vigilantes...

In a region that has 90% dominance of all crime threads posted on Nairaland...

What exactly do you think will follow?

And I guess Gombe and Borno are safe hahahaha.

I keep saying it that ruling a large country like Nigeria with dictatorship will not work.

Provide social amenities for the people and they will pay their task without been dragged to the wall.

Only in Nigeria would you hear of a state “vigilante office”? grin

Even Nigerian governments don’t seem to understand the term…
But it’s just another avenue to LOOT through opaque ‘security vote’. SMH

Abegi which Nigerians will pay their taxes (presumably that’s what you mean) voluntarily?
Only Nigerians in the civil service and under PAYE withholding pay any taxes without compulsion.

Nigerians are masters of AWOOF, with the lowest tax base (re GDP) in Africa…
Many African nations do not provide the facilities/services in Nigeria, but still have a bigger tax base!

ABIA STATE BOARD OF INTERNAL REVENUE IS TO BE BLAME.
THEY CLOSED THE ENTIRE MARKET INSTEAD OF DEFAULTER'S SHOP MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE FOR TRUCKS TO COME INTO THE MARKET TO OFFLOAD THEIR GOODS.
THEY DIDN'T EVEN ALLOW ANYONE TO GO INTO THE MARKET AT ALL.

I don't think this would have been a problem in the first place if the defaulters were punished rather than everyone. And if there's any reason why they defaulted, it should be looked into reasonably. It's not everything that should be a show of force.
