Veteran Nollywood actor Pete Edochie has asserted women are by default very greedy and selfish

The 74-year-old actor spoke in an exclusive chat on Adakarl TV where he stated that it’s in the character of women to be selfish and greedy depending on how they were indoctrinated.

Explaining further, Pete Edochie sited an example noting that 5 men can peacefully stay in a room as undergraduates till they eventually graduate but it’s not the same for women.

The lead character of the iconic series “Things Fall Apart” added it is quite unfortunate, regrettable but true that those traits are existent in the composition of women.

Pete Edochie also citing another example explained that the introduction of a woman among two harmonious brothers is capable of causing a rift between them that could even result to one killing the other.

He said: “Quote me…quote, it is in the character of women there is this inimical flaw that is uncompromising about them that makes them very greedy and very selfish.

It is not always that women represent bad influence but depends on how you were indoctrinated, that’s what matters.”

Social media users have expressed their opinions on the veteran actor’s assertion.
While most persons have affirmed and noted that Pete Edochie is obviously stating the obvious.

Few others have noted that selfishness and greed are not peculiar to the women folks alone.

This man has never, despite his status, been seen or heard to make a meaningful contribution towards advancing the interests of the people in his immediate community. He has never lent his voice to the myriads of problems bedeviling the people in his geographical location. He has never attempted to make a respected contribution to the insecurity issues traumatizing his people. However, he rabble and dabble all day long about his hidden deep disgust and hatred for the women folks. He, like many other old misogynist, albeit successful and respected men in their chosen field has demonstrated an unrepentant obsession about the female folks. The female folks though are generally self centred and greedy, an inherent attitude in human being, such adjective can also perfectly describe their male counterpart who can be said to have mastered the art and craft of selfishness and greediness. In politics, business, religion, where male folks hold sway, men have demonstrated an unquenchable thirst for selfishness, corruption and greed. Relentlessly trying to champion the cause of labelling women as greedy and selfish is just exposing the flaw, insecurity, lack of relevance and desperate need of attention and the darkness in him. Although women folks ain't perfect, as they definitely have lots of foibles, excesses, weakness, they are also strong, creative, productive and intelligent if trained to quench that innate tendencies of selfishness and inconsiderate attitude towards their husband and realize themselves as fellow partner with men in developing a strong and happy family.
