Lemme help you guys out from an outside perspective. This war in Nigeria is more complex than what most Nigerians think. Every war is always an avenue for vested interest to utilize as cover in order to gain their share or have control. The Islamic agenda is very open because Boko Haram and ISWAP have made that open from the onset. Next are the arms dealers.... they are interested in keeping the war going because it's more money for them. One unique trend is Nigeria MODs high frequency of engagement with Bulgarian and Serbia arms dealers outside the pakistanis, Chinese and Americans Here is how arms dealers gain.. you sign an agreement for x amount of weapons. Typically within Bulgaria MOD, they network none official dealers to act as middle men. On the official channel timetable between Nigeria and Bulgaria is drawn out on time of delivery and all necessary information. Typically there is a chain of command structure that documents go through before approval is granted then stocking and shipping. Within this chain is were most of the dirty happens.. let's say Bulgaria is to send x amount of RPGs or javline... Their military attache of Bulgaria based in Nigeria will be monitoring things on ground and giving feedback.... it's the Information the regulatory committee within Bulgaria MOD will now use to reach out to third party and negotiate percentage. There are technicalities in this area that I would touch on another day. Once this is set up, they communicate the new situation on ground and position of things to their military attache in Nigeria, who then reaches out to a representative in the MOD. By doing this, the new arms dealing agent is then brought in as the last minute replacement due to inefficiencies from their own end( do remember this is just a cover story to justify the new price) Because Nigeria is in urgent need, a new premium is then put forward. So the delay, urgency and Bulgaria known for quality arms will force the Nigerian MOD to acquire the weapons for the new premium. Why did I have to say this, there is what they call keep the cycle going.Meaning feed the engine for as long as you can. Because they will always be buyers. |

Idiotmod: It's very difficult on an active war. Because the terrorist knows he would be caught or killed at a point. They can also use countering measures such as false flag operations that would expose him as a double agent. There is an eye that watches the eye that watches |

Re: Military Arrests Goni Fandam, ISWAP Informant Who Spies On Troops' Movements by sslcrypt: 5:22am On Jun 12, 2021 |
Idiotmod: Intelligence is the ability to outmaneuver your opponent without them ever noticing. Boko Haram and ISWAP bank on network of informants within an environment. Therefore you as an army can't kill an entire population in a location just because you combing for network of informants. Thus the reason it will very hard for any army to outrightly defeat terrorist groups. It's on this front you now introduce sophisticated means of combating them such as signals via air and space along with technical intelligence. This is what makes western and super powers different from third world countries. Also when you train as a counter intelligence officer, you operate at a higher level than other intelligence operative because your job is to rope out collaborators internally and foreign operatives. So the narrative of personnel's sabotaging the NA efforts are not 100% correct. It can only be accurate if some the counter intelligence operatives are compromised. |
