Sir, I agree with most of your points about the morality (or lack of) among most Nigerians... not to mention disunity in terms of religion and ethnicity.

However, even the best candidate can become tyrannical and poor in the course of his tenure.... This is where checks and balance come in. Where those in charge of these checks (legislature) fail to do their jobs, what then do the people do?!!

in a saner clime its possible, its called impeachment... there are checks and balances in democracy. If a leader crosses the line, constructive protest can be made and he be removed if there is no bias. Thats why its democracy not autocracy or military rule.
