They only defended themselves when the APC led federal government employed thugs to disrupt the peaceful protest and no violence was recorded on the part of the Soro Soke heroes. If the protest is about bad governance, what is the governor doing protesting or did he not understand the reason behind the protest, how is the State he governs, is the State better than the way he met it?, is he not part of the problem?
