The Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria, HURIWA has said that the recent attacks in Zamfara Communities by suspected Fulani bandits could be aimed at erasing the Hausa extraction. HausaToday recalls that armed bandits a few days ago stormed some communities in Zamfara State and killed over ninety (90) residents.

But the Rights Writers in a reactionary statement issued on Monday by Emmanuel Onwubiko, its national Coordinator and the National Media Affairs Director Miss Zainab Yusuf urged President Muhammadu Buhari to urgently declare the bandits as terrorists.

The statement alleged that expressing shock over the incessant attacks on communities would make no changes in the security situation in Zamfara State.

HURIWA also slammed the Nigerian lawmakers for keeping mum over the current state of the nation.

“The Senate President has become like a ‘pet dog’ of the executive arm of government and has abandoned his watchdog role ascribed to the National legislature by the Grundnorm.

“Sadly, the Speaker has also become a stooge of President Muhammadu Buhari who is totally disconnected from the constant ordeals confronting millions of Nigerians just as the cocktails of killings by organised criminal gangs do not disturb or worry their consciences.

“Now amidst the cacophony of violence and killings carried out and orchestrated by armed non-state actors, the National Assembly has gone on recess and are not bothered about the bad existential situations in all parts of the Federal Republic of Nigeria “.

I pity for the innocent Fulanis because it won't be funny. It is just a matter of time.

This is nonsense. Why are we not hearing agitations and voices of protest by the so-called Hausas? There's nothing like a distinction between Hausa and Fulani in Nigeria. They all pride themselves as "Arewa". God punish all of them...May they choke on cow piss and suffer lung failure. Idiots.

Let them kill themselves up north forever for all I care, but if they continue to perpetrate their barbarism in the South, then they will surely have their days numbered.
