Our corrupt politicians are merely postponing the splitting day so they could steal as much as they can before it finally happens. No soothsayer needs to tell us where Nigeria is headed with what's happening all over the country today. Imagine the federal government awarding an arms contract to a non-Nigerian...a Nigerien for that matter. Does it mean we don't have qualified companies in a country of population of over 200 million people who can handle this contract? The contract was said to be worth over 200b naira and the guy made away with the whole money yet, Nigerians kept mum until EFCC started trailing him yesterday, as if they don't know where this guy is. No wonder Babagana Monguno and senator Ali Ndume were saying they've not seen a single AK47 bought by the federal government in the hands of our soldiers. A rail road is currently being channeled to Niger when Nigerian states aren't yet linked to one another by rail. A refinery construction is also ongoing at the Katsina/Nigerien Border.

While all these guys are perfecting their plans before leaving , our leaders down south are busy fighting for a slot in 2023 which isn't even sure for them. The earlier we get wisdom and do the needful, the better

Czechoslovakia split peacefully because both parts were industrialized enough to survive easily.

Nigeria is one big resource dependent mess. The industries that exist don't make things from scratch..and we don't have heavy industry.

Look, you guys can split Nigeria all you want...but so long as each and every state in Nigeria cannot survive without oil...such a split would end in conflict. Unless you all are going to charge high tax rates at 50% of your incomes in your new countries.

The split will happen... sooner than some care to think. The thread holding the seams of this contraption together has loosened beyond stitches or repairs. The earlier the One-Nigeria apologists realize that we are going our separate ways, the better.

While all these guys are perfecting their plans before leaving , our leaders down south are busy fighting for a slot in 2023 which isn't even sure for them. The earlier we get wisdom and do the needful, the better

The earlier you know the better... the northern nigeria are preparing for the secession. They are planing almagamation with Niger republic. More reasons they are hell bent in during every thing possible to improve their relation with niger republic.

Great article for every Nigerian to see.. But Nigeria will never split until the Fula are given a state where they govern 100% and have their people 100%. It won't be hard to achieve but need right thinking people to do that. As it stands, they have finnaly dominated the North in terms of politics, they are about to dominate the South in party politics. They are also sending terror to all Nigerians to passively give in to their request. This is their best shot after the death of Abacha and the rise against fulani in other countries in recent time.

We can divide, we can rename but a few group of Muslim won't allow it, is like taking away their hard fought authority away.

With the kind of leaders we have now.. If possible it's going to extend to another century. If worse comes Nigeria will become a confederation and yet the killings and corruption won't stop. But this present leaders are so adept of history ; constituting a courtlike followership among themselves.

The present gain is just too much for our leaders to leave for a smaller gain that has potential for growth.
