Enugwu-Ukwu is surrounded by neighbouring towns including Nawfia, Nise, Agukwu-Nri, Nimo, Abagana and Enugwu-Agidi. The estimated population as at 2009 is 448,000.[2]

The traditional authority adopts the kingship title of Eze Enugwu-Ukwu na Igwe Umunri. The immediate past traditional ruler of the town was His Majesty, Igwe Osita Agwuna III. The current traditional ruler is His Majesty, Igwe Ralph Obumnemeh Ekpeh (Okpalanakana-Ukabia Nri IV) [3]

The people of Enugwu-ukwu usually organise a Mmonwu festival during the festive period in December. This event usually takes place on 26 December annually. It is usually held at Umunri Palace close to Nkwo market. The event is usually sponsored by different organizations and people around the country.

The Headquarters of Aguata local government area and the 4th most developed town in Anambra after Onitsha,Nnewi and Awka. It is also the location of St. John's Anglican cathedral of the diocese of Aguata and also that of St Joseph's cathedral of the Catholic Diocese of Ekwulobia. It has two major market known as Eke Ekwulobia and Ekwulobia moto park market. The famous Ekwulobia prison is located in my town as well as Ekwulobia police area command which covers Aguata, Orumba North and South local govts police area command. It has so many primary and secondary school with Aguata High school, Ekwulobia girls secondary school, Monsignor Mmaduka Memorial College and All Saints Seminary. It also houses allot of hospitals like General hospital, Victoria hospital, Chibuzo, Mba Hospital and the most popular pharmacy being Paragon pharmacy shop.

The Traditional Ruler of Ekwulobia is Igwe (Engr) Emma Onyeneke (Ezejiofor II).
The town is made up of 9 (nine) different communities which are Abaogwume, Ezi-Agulu, Okpo, Ihuokpala, Nkono, Ula, Umuchi, Umuchiana.

It it surrounded by Nnanka, Oko, Nkpologwu, Isuofia, Oko, Uga and Ezinifite.
The popular Achugwu Ekwulobia is the most famous masquerade of Ekwulobia people and also attract alot of people from different town and state who always come to watch them display. The Achugwu masquerade mostly comes out during festive period, funeral or any important occasion.

As the name implies Azi-igboukwu is the younger brother of the famous Igboukwu kingdom.
Our surrounded communities are: Igboukwu, Ichida, Awka-Etiti, Nnewi and Amichi.
Azigbo is one of the 10 communities in Nnewi South LGA.

We have 5 villages, namely: Umunnalor, Okpuno, Umunnobe, Iru-Okpala and Ebenator. Plus 13 Umunnas divided across the 5 villages.

Currently we have no traditional ruler. Our kingship is not hereditary but base on rotation among the 5 villages.
The Immediate traditional ruler, Igwe C.C Umeaniba (Eze Chukwukwadoro 1 of Azigbo) died on 1st December 2018. As we speak, we are been led by the President General (which also rotational)
Even when the Igwe was alive, he doesn't have absolute power, he is focused on traditional affairs and settlement of land disputes. In reality the PG welds more power than the King, although the position last for just 3-years single term.

There is a road that connects us to Nnewi town, this road when completed can open up my community for massive development. The road project started towards the end of Obiano's first tenure. But unfortunately it was abandoned after his reelection. please help out.

Village people exist in my community, and only a massive development can eradicate these menace.
