She was in UN since the time of Kofi Anan, she finished her tenure as Secretary of the UN secretary General during the time of Ban Ki Moon and later got appointment from Gutteres, PMB just allowed her to go but she wasn't appointed by Nigeria.
She worked with other previous govts too.
