The testicular pain most people know refers to chronic testicular pain in the science of medicine, which is manifested as persistent or intermittent unilateral or bilateral testicular pain, lasting for more than 3 months, mainly accompanied by dull pain or swelling pain. This symptom has a certain impact on the quality of life in patients.

Clinically, definite factors causing testicular pain can be classified into six categories.

1. Testicular lesions

If it is an inflammation in the testes like orchitis, there will be red swelling, heat and painful symptoms. If it is a tumor of testes, there will be swollen and hard lumps when testes are touched. If it is a testicular torsion, it will be manifested as sudden testicular pain during sleep at night, which can not be relieved easily. If it is a testicular trauma, scar formation will occur after wound healing, and testicular tension can also cause pain.

2. Epididymis (mostly in the posterior external side of the testis) lesions

If it is an inflammation of the epididymis like epididymitis, it will have the same symptoms with orchitis. If it is epididymal cyst, then a soft, round and small mass will be felt in the epididymis. If it is epididymal stasis or epididymal granuloma, due to seminal duct ligation caused by semen discharge, it will be manifested as swelling of the head of epididymis, accompanied by painful sensation when touching. Besides, it may be epididymal tumor, but the incidence rate is extremely low.

3. Ligation of the vas deferens

In clinical practice, testicular pain occurs in patients after ligation, accounting for 15% to 19%. Some are caused by neuroma formation, others by sperm granulomas.

4. Spermatic cord lesions

Spermatic cord and epididymal end are connected, existing in scrotum and groin. Mostly, it can be caused by varicocele, because haemal circumference is slow, causing congestion, usually manifested as testicular dull pain and swelling pain. Standing for a long time or being tired will aggravate the pain.

5. Diseases of urinary system

Such as hyperplasia of prostate, prostatitis, urethral stricture, urinary calculi, lower ureteral calculi, and scrotal hydrocysts. These diseases can lead to testicular pain with varying degrees. If left untreated for too long, it will turn into a chronic symptom, accompanied by more long-term problems.

6. External factors of the genitourinary system

Such as hernia, spinal radiculopathy, lumbar disc herniation, irritable bowel syndrome and so on. What's more, for patients with anxiety, depression and other psychological problems, the testicular pain is also likely to be sparked off. 25% to 50% of testicular pain cases are reported to be unexplained, known as idiopathic testicular pain, and most patients have some sort of psychological problems.

Usually, a herbal medicine Diuretic and Anti-inflammatory Pill is a good option for patients with testicular pain caused by inflammations. It works well on eliminating inflammations in the testis, epididymis, seminal vesicle, prostate gland and other urogenital organs. It features no side effects and can improve the urogenital system.
