First of all ... As far as you are looking for quality network, MTN is the best to use but their data bundles are often higher than others so never you make your full monthly subscription with MTN.
My advice is that you should get another sim probably Airtel and use it for your full monthly subscription, MTN data bundles are better done if you are doing a short time data bundles like daily or weekly but never for monthly.
To fully enjoy MTN data services you should migrate to MTN pulse and take advantage of thier short time services like.

1Gig for 1 week at 500 naira
Tik tok/Instagram bundle for 200 naira
Night plan that gives you 2Gig for 200 naira but only lasts for the night.

If you want to be eligible to those data plans you will have to migrate to beta talk. That's when the 121 code would be effective.

Since it's a new sim, you won't be eligible for *121# packages, use it for a month straight up and you will be eligible, the data you also subscribe for will also determine the plans available for you...
Some of us use *131*65# and it has 4 constant plans but not everyone is eligible for it, the best so far...

If it is a new SIM you're eligible for 100% data bonus on default tariff plane for 3 months, so go for 3500 for 24gig or 5000 for 40gig

I dial 121 and this is my second month using 3500 for 24GB..

Next month, will do the 5k for 40GB
