If a phone can carry 16Gb make sure you have at least 100mb of space on the phone. The less space a phone has the more difficult it is to use the memory card in that phone . If you put a memory card of 24Gb in a cheap Chinese phone that has just 1mb of storage space the memory card can damage some functions of the phone. It's like a child of 6 trying to carry a fat 32 year old, damaged back or leg damage will occur.
