Defeat Boko Haram? Insurgencies like the Boko Haram are very hard to defeat completely. Even the US saw madness in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The best with Boko Haram is for them to be contained and heavily weakened. Eventually with some hope, they might just disappear or move elsewhere like the Lord's Resistance Army in Uganda.

Sadly with Boko Haram, you can't sign a peace treaty with Islamic terrorists. Their religious goals is a matter of death in their service to their god who is really Satan or Shaitan as Muslims call the devil.
