It's too late, we Yoruba Muslims will never allow Oduduwa to happen. It's a move against Islam, unless Sharia law would be implemented across Oduduwa nation.

1968! That was during the war.

Does it mean when biafrans were fighting for secession in Nigeria, Oduduwa republic was agitating for same secession Faraway in London.

Then why were they fighting on Nigeria side during the war?

Anyway, 1967 is not 2021

The Yòrùbás didn't officially support Nigeria during the civil war until the Biafran side chose to attack core Yorubaland which was checkmated at Òrè (in modern day Ondo State).
The attack happened after Biafra captured the Mid-West (Edo & Delta).
Some Igbos already blew up Casino Cinema at Yábà, Lagos before traveling to the East but we let that one slide.

We weren't interested in the war or any other war. We believe in negotiations.
(But some people mistakes the Tiger's yawning for cowardice)

Stop writing nonsense.
There is no evidence that Igbos blew up Casino Cinema.
The most plausible narrative is that the FG in alliance with Awo decided to blow up that Cinema to rile up Yorubas who were undecided to side FG against Ndiigbo.

Igbo march towards Lagos was logical since Gowon and Northern soldiers were sitted there and Awolowo had given Ojukwu the impression that the reason Yoruba couldn't declare independence was because of presence of Northern Soldiers in Lagos and Western region.

LMFAO

Your narrative is hilarious. Both paragraphs.
Chief Awólówò was in prison to be sentenced to death for treason when the war broke out. His imprisonment was a result of an alliance between Northern & Eastern region (& Ladoke Akintola). So you mean he colluded with one of his enemies to fight the other? Then what happens afterwards? Fight the other enemy alone? Yòrùbás don't calculate like that.
We know those who blew up Casino Cinema. And I hope Lagos State Government leaves it as a relic & monument.

Second, Obáfémi Awólówò, an imprisoned CIVILIAN couldn't have struck ANY military deal whatsoever with Odumegu Ojukwu because he has zero control over the military, unlike Ojukwu who had the Eastern Region military under his command. Don't you think a brilliant mind like Ojukwu would've thought about this?
When twisting narratives to favour one's bias, one has to think deeply and not be quick to spew words gambling if it will make sense.
Furthermore, Yòrùbás has experienced over a century of civil war that got so bad that we came under British colonisation. A deep thinker like Obáfémi Awólówò would never have struck a military deal with Ojukwu to come into any plot of core Yorubaland in the name of liberation which would come along crippling Yòrùbáland's peace & infrastructure. (This is the issue I'm having with Nnamdi Kanu).

I rest my case.

Lol!
Awolowo imprisonment was as a result of the alliance between between NNDP led by Akintola and NPC led by Saraduna/Belewa. The alliance was called NNA alliance.

NCNC was into an alliance called UPGA with AG and UMBC.
These were all in 1964 federal elections.
So I wonder who was in alliance with the North before the war between the East and the North.

Awolowo was in prison not just for "treasonable felony" having been found guilty of plotting a civilian coup, but for financial misappropriation. He was found to have used western region funds to finance AG party activities.
He wasn't innocent. He was witch hunted yes! But he wasn't innocent of the crimes pinned on him either.

Of course you know who bombed the Casino Cinema, and it couldn't have been Igbo! grin

In Ojukwu discussion with Awolowo before the war, Awolowo made it clear that he and Yoruba land couldn't secede because their region was under the occupation of the Northern Military.

It's common sense. An Enemy camped in Yorubaland and from there import Military weapons to bomb Igboland and entire Biafra. Awolowo and Yorubas claimed to be defenseless against this enemy and hence couldn't chase them off themselves.
In this case, the only logical process was to allow Biafrans chase this enemy out so that they Don't Lunch attack on East from Yoruba ports and Land again.
But again you resisted us from doing that. Which means you were in alliance with this enemy!
You can't habour in your house, an Enemy that is throwing bomb at my house by claiming that he is too powerful for you to chase away but at same time join the enemies to resist my attempt to help you chase away this enemy while you lay claim to neutrality in the whole saga!

Nope! You were not neutral. Lagos couldn't have been neutral when Gowon and entire fleets of NIGERIAN miliary were camped and plotted evil towards Igboland from there.

Just answer these two questions. What exact dates did the Yoruba dominated 3rd Marine Commando attack Biafra from Bonny and the Biafran forces advanced to Ore? This will convince you of who got involved first.
The next question is if you can explain the reason why a Yoruba soldier was chose to lead that very important mission if really the intention was an attack against his people. It's madness to open an entirely new frontier with a different set of people in such a war. The mission could only be aimed at scoring at the same enemy they've been fighting at the Enugu border.
All these are in the past now but we must learn the truth so we don't repeat yesterday's mistakes. The effects of those mistakes are what we are suffering today.

yorubas weren't interested in the war but allowed Gowon and fulani terrorists to use yorubaland to launch attacks on Biafra? Do you people think you are talking to idiots online?

Would Britain consider France a neutral, if France allows Al-quaeda terrorists to launch attacks into Britain unfettered from France?

Would Isreal see Egypt as neutrals if Egypt allows Hamas and Hezbollah to launch attacks from Egypt into Isreal?

Donating your land to the enemies of Biafra to launch attacks and incubate weapons against Biafrans was an ACT OF WAR in itself.

Even your brother Duro Onabule a newspaper columnist wrote and agreed that yorubas allowing Gowon and fulanis to use yorubaland as an attack base made yorubas an aggressor against Biafrans from day one.

As for the Casino bombing, we all know it was done by Gowon and fulanis to create a state of discomfort for the yorubas against Biafrans and push them to enlist in the army enmass against the Biafrans.

Stop your revisionism.

No.
But the yorubas will not support the igbos because of her diversity on religion matter.
It is possible for the north to align with Islam and the igbos with Christianity but yorubas are somehow divided equally and just as Christians are afraid of the northern Nigeria Islamic agenda, the Yoruba Muslims are scared of Igbo religious extremism.
By the way, yorubas always love to embrace peace and believe in dialogue
