Pelumi “OG” is one of the prominent rising student in the music industry whose name is Pelumi Moyosore Mayowa and stage named “The OG”. “The OG” who hailed from Ogun State as he has been identified as one of the talented students we have on our campuses, precisely from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State.

Pelumi started singing since childhood, singing
various pop songs. He got into the church choir while in secondary school where he had chances to explore more music genre.
Pelumi is blessed and have been covers of various artist song just for fun until he got admission in 2017 when he started writing his own music.

In 2018, he released his first single title “easy”. In 2019, he got admission into the prestigious Olabisi Onabanjo University, when he started listening to varieties of music and where he choosed his path as an Afrobeat artist and released his second single in 2020.
He has been selected by the judges in the maiden edition of the Cover Africa Music reality contest, where his talent and creativity has gotten him to the thirty-five finalist shortlisted.
Pelumi popularly known as The OG who is a year two (2) student of the department of Computer Science at the Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye, Ogun State.
The Pèlúmi "OG" has been shortlisted among the contestants for this year’s Covers Africa Music Contest which would be aired on DSTV, GOtv and StarTimes from Friday, 18th of June, 2021. Speaking with our correspondence, one of the media manager of Pelumi "OG", said "winning this continental award as we believe it will not only bring fame and success to his name, but also serve as a motivation for other Nigerian youths and students who are yet to maximise the creativity in their inherent talents.
