Isiburu is the Igbo doctrine of on your own. What an elder sees standing, a child will never see even if he climbs the highest palm tree. This thread is not to mock Mazi Nnamdi Kanu or appraise his arrest but set the record straight. Many of us saw this coming from the onset. You don't win an agitation from a position of weakness, let alone create enemies for yourself by burning all friendly bridges. A group headed by illiterates will only run in circles.

When we said that IPOB and Kanu were on a suicide mission, many of our kinsmen called us names. From the decimation of ESN to the arrest and extradition of Kanu, it's obvious that we were right after all.

While we watch as events unfold with the trial of Nnamdi Kanu resuming on Tuesday, it's evident that prison might become the IPOB leader's new home, unless if the government pardon him for political expediency. Without that, I see no one standing as surety for Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. Those who stood before have learnt their lessons and won't attempt such again.

Like Kanu, like Uwazuruike. Pity that many sheeps were led to the slaughter all thanks to their ignorance. The Igbo nation are too smart to allow a band of noisemakers lead them into destruction. When we need a leadership for our betterment, we'll proceed with our intellectuals. And when we want to let our voices be heard, it will surely be through a national conference or through the ballot box.

We hope that Kanu is given a speedy trial. He should be kept safe from the hands of those who might want to cause another Yusuf conundrum. And if found guilty face his warrant. Nobody send am work.
