Arresting Kanu Without Arresting What Is Fueling Biafra, Is A Waste Of Time- Ume by gidgiddy: 12:03am On Jun 30, 2021
Former Senator representing Anambra central, Senator Victor Umeh, has commented about the arrest of IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu.

Speaking to BBC Igbo, Umeh said that government arresting Kanu without arresting what was fueling the Biafran agitation was a waste of time. He said that while Igbo leaders do not support Kanu's some times violent rhetoric, they agree with him when he says Igbos are not getting a fair deal in Nigeria.

Umeh was of the opinion that if Nigeria is equitably run, there would be no Nnamdi Kanu, but in the climate of injustice that characterises the Nigerian state, there would always be an Nnamdi Kanu

Umeh also warned the Nigerian authorities that now they have arrested Kanu, to be fair in dispensing justice, otherwise, they would turn Kanu into a martyr and make the Biafran agitation more popular than it already is

That's just the real truth..

a child is crying out of hunger and instead of you giving him food, you spank him to keep quiet.. does his quietness in anyway stop the hunger he's feeling?

Those jubilating at Nnamdi Kanu's arrest would finally realize that Biafra is not a man, it's a spirit borne out of thirst for a better life both for this generation and generations to come..

Imagine bread I normally buy for 120naira is now 150.. not to mention the inflation on other food items..

people are hungry and angry.. how can my forefathers shout "light done come" in their days and up till date, we still feel excited when NEPA brings light that we shout the same thing "light done come"..

Those bush mice supporting this evil and clueless govt, if you don't desire a better life for yourself, don't you at least desire it for your children? The foolishness of some youths on nairaland can only be compared to that of a renowned mad man..

As if they knew how foolish some nairaland youths would become in 2021 that they added these words to the second stanza of our national anthem..

"Help our youths the truth to know"

While the few privileged Nigerians are making it look like the Nigeria is working, the poor brainless youths are supporting them. Someone is speaking up for you but you are blaming him.

Last time I checked, a graduate was washing a poo ridden bedsheet for 15k per month in an hotel and you claim the country is working.

Brainless youths from the south and the middle belt.

Your level of reasoning will never allow you to understand that this is not about Nnamdi Kanu, it never was. This is about if the majority of Nigerians want to be part of the failed state of Nigeria or not. Take out Nnamdi Kanu, another will replace him
