I want to apply for studies abroad and I found out that my transcript carries 1990 as my date of birth while my Date of Birth Certificate and my International Passport carries 1992. And they will have to send the transcript directly to the school abroad.
Can I go to the the school to inform them that I want to change it?
It is possible?

You'll have to swear an affidavit.

Goto your school with a sworn affidavit from the high court. Attach your birth certificate with it and take it to your school. You will be told to write a letter of for cha he of name though. I think that will do.

If not the biggest problem among alumni of Nigerian schools then it would be the second; a large percentage of our alumni have issues with their date of birth. This problem emanates from the Nigerian culture of needing to claim a younger age because of the labour market and also to avoid early retirement, and other reasons like age insecurities and carelessness.
