Britain Seeks Urgent Explanation From Nigerian Gov. On Nnamdi Kanu’s Arrest by Gospel367: 9:38am On Jul 01, 2021
he United Kingdom through its Head of Communications, British High Commissioner, Mr Dean Hurlock, has said it will definitely seek for clarification from the Federal Government of Nigeria on the legality of the arrest of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra. He stated this while responding to enquiries from a punch newspaper correspondent. He said the UK government was already in the process of seeking the needed explanations from the Federal Government on the circumstances surrounding
Kanu’s arrest and extradition.

The UK government had on Tuesday said Nnamdi Kanu, who also happens to be a British citizen, was not arrested within its territory.

Hurlock said, “In response to any queries on whether Nnamdi Kanu was extradited from the UK, we can reaffirm that Nnamdi Kanu was not arrested in the UK nor was he extradited from the UK.


“With regards to any questions about the possible legality of his arrest, the British High Commission in Abuja is
currently in the process of seeking clarification from the Nigerian ........
