Actually Bandits get a lot of attacks from government forces.

Like the recent kidnapping in Katsina was rumored to be due to the fact that the government was hitting them so hard, that they orchestrated the kidnapping of the school boys to tell the government to 'back off'.

Also, bandits in Kaduna and Zamfara have been under repeated government attacks. The Army and Airforce have been busy there for about 2-3 years now.

Even the amnesty offer was more of a 'for willing bandits only'...not for unwilling bandits.

The truth is, there is no way this government, even one as incompetent as this APC government can ignore the bandit threat...especially as it affects their main voter base.
