When you defeat the devils agent with the word of God, you have using your weapon to conquer the spirit of serpent and the serpent see you as someone not to go close or near because you are having the "Power" over his command. when you do not know God word you are thereby empty and the devil can prey only on such because his evil spirit cannot enter a holy spirit filled person . hence in all you do to stay of trouble is to read God word in the bible.
