Arsenal are expected to make a third bid for Brighton defender Ben White after having their initial two offers rejected for the centre-back.

The clubs are in continued talks over the England international with Arsenal remaining hopeful they can reach a deal, but Brighton have not made their valuation public.

Brighton owner Tony Bloom is understood to be happy to let White leave if he desires - provided his valuation is met.

Arsenal are yet to make their first signing of this summer's transfer window, but that could soon all be about to change.

In a bid to put a disappointing 2020/21 campaign behind themselves, the Gunners are desperate to complete a radical summer overhaul ahead of the new Premier League season.


It is understood that manager Mikel Arteta wants to add a minimum of five first-team players to his squad this summer, with a number of positions in need of bolstering.

One of which is the centre-back berth. The Gunners have identified Brighton & Hove Albion and England ace Ben White as the ideal candidate and are hoping to get a £50million deal wrapped up for the 23-year-old.
