Exclusive Interview With Barr. Ifeanyi Ejiofor on Arise News Morning Show Today

His statement stems from the fact that Mr. Ifeanyi Ejiofor and his client had sued the Kenyan Government in the International Court of Justice.

There is a collaboration between the federal government and Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court, Abuja to deny Biafra separatist leader Nnamdi Kanu a fair trial, his lawyer Ifeanyi Ejiofor has alleged.

Mr Ejiofor stated this on Monday when he featured on an ARISE News programme, The Morning Show.

He noted that the mere fact that Kanu was allowed to address the court in his absence shows that the leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) will not get a fair trial.

According to Mr Ejiofor, his client was abducted in Kenya and subjected to inhuman treatment and torture. He told ARISE news that Mr Kanu was handed over to the Nigerian government in an unconscious state.

Nnamdi Kanu's lawyer has boasted that by the time he and Nnamdi Kanu finish with the Kenyan Government at the International Court of Justice, Kenya won't remain the same.

Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor made this known during an interview with Arise TV, where he expressed anger over the fact that the Kenyan Government took part in his client's arrest.

Speaking on the incident, Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor reiterated his allegations that Nnamdi Kanu was arrested in Kenya and had been tortured there before being taken to Nigeria.

He had previously alleged that Nnamdi Kanu was sedated by the Kenyan authorities and was subjected to several forms of torture before he was handed over to Nigerian authorities.

When reminded that the Kenyan Government had denied that Nnamdi Kanu was arrested in their country, barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor said that he was happy that they were denying it.

He revealed further that his client, Nnamdi Kanu was actually arrested in Kenya on trumped-up charges and was thereafter tortured by the security operatives.

If found to have bypassed due process and retrieved Nnamdi Kanu, who is a non Nigerian, illegally (extraordinary rendition) Nigeria will be severely dealt with, sanctions will definitely follow. PS: You can't charge Kenya to the ICJ. ICJ doesn't take cases of organizations. Only member states and some cases on advisory from some UN agencies. IPOB can however charge Kenya and Kenyatta to the ICC.
