Gun violence in the USA tends to follow the population density of the city and has no direct colleration with the party in city, state of the federal government.

Also note that Republicans are more liberal when it comes to gun policies, whereas Democrats are more conservative, therefore if Republicans are at the head of government at these US population centers, there will be more guns on the street, translating to more gun violence.

They keep saying guns don't kill people; its people that do the killing, yet they don't want to support laws that make it difficult for anyone to have a gun.
