I heard they planned to use the road to campaign for their evil agenda in 2023.The contractors will leave a section of the road and move to another without any meaningful progress hoping to delay the project till 2023....

Faller:
If only Wike was in charge of the construction of that road.....

Dapo said Ogun State road will take 20 years to be completed..... That's 5 different tenures.....

He's letting everyone know that this una Road.. I can't kill myself over it ....

Back to Lagos Ibadan Expressway...I know the Road to Heaven is very narrow....but it is wider than this Road ..... This road obviously needs more Lanes.....
You made very valid points. What should have made a difference to the inadequate number of lanes on that very busy expressway is the train. During Obasanjo's tenure, the Southwest Governors wanted to construct a railway line on that same route without asking the Federal Government to fund it but the Federal might rejected the idea. The train service in operation now is not attractive to most people going to Ibadan because of the train terminal station which is on the outskirts of Ibadan. It is like someone going to Oshodi but has to disembark at Okokomaiko. Does that make sense? The earlier the trucks, tankers and containers are compelled to use the existing train service to move their goods, the better for everyone using the Lagos-ibadan expressway!

Lagos, Ogun and Oyo can partner to do such rail that passes Berger, Mowe, Ogere to Ibadan. It will make economic sense and less space is needef, except for train stations.

Nawa o...

One of the reasons I don't travel frequently these days.

There is no time you will pass that road without one thing or the other causing gridlock on the road.

The traffic was Mad o,Berger & Ministry of transportation are taking longer than expected
Re: Lagos-Ibadan Expressway: Motorists, Commuters Lament Gridlock by Prophet777: 6:12pm On Jul 07, 2021
Left home by 5:32am early in the morning and got to work at exactly 11:57am. Important conference meeting and appointments missed.

Julius Berger is the problem of this road. Spate of work is very slow. Damages JB is causing on this road in terms of traffic management is worrisome. They have been on one particular portion at Arepo for almost ten months now without any meaningful progress. They spent the entire last year at Oremeji axis just about one km rehabilitation ooo. At this juncture, we cant bear it any longer. Mowe/Ibafo residents won't hesitate to result to another mother of protest soonest.
