Imagine a power drunk lunatic governor like wike the governor of rivers state with Ak-74 armoured personnel carriers and armed helicopters equipped police force exclusively under his control.

Imagine the northern governors and their biased reasons each parading their heavily armed state police forces.

Imagine the corrupt southern governors with heavily armed state police.

In fact Nigeria would be too hot for buhari and any Fulani Muslim man sitting at Aso rock and also the ultimate battle of supremacy between the northern Nigeria police security forces and southern Nigeria security police networks would commence .

Nigerians have been clamouring for state police. Here it is let's welcome and embrace it.
The next thing is the restructuring, buhari said once the national assembly works on the structure and pass it on to him, he will sign it, please let's talk to our respective representatives to do the needful

One fact is no governor would kill his people expect criminals, no matter his craziness and power drunkenness! Unlike Buhari who's been killing people who are not Fulani!

Beside, this would give avenue for the security section to boast of better brains in each States than the illiterates we have in federal securities. In South Korea for example, their best brain goes to either medical schools, police academies or technology schools! These are the sections that are paid the highest the most! You've got to be brilliant and be one of the best before you can be admitted into these aforementioned schools.

State police is the only sure way to stop herdsmen from killing villagers and raping women and go on boasting about it.
Any person who is against state police is a Fulani terrorist

Imagine the corrupt despot in Aso Rock using federal police to rig elections in states he didn’t get up to 25% of votes

Imagine state police commissioners acting on the orders of the despot in Aso Rock rather than the state governors who are the chief security officers of their states.

Imagine one despot having all the powers to make everyone do as he pleases including making state governors and officials who do not agree with him to decamp to his party due to intimidation

Dude, let the states have the powers and do whatever they want with it. If they want, they can destroy their states, it’s not the problem of the despot in Aso Rock. Also states should manage their own resources so that if they’re hostile or violent towards visitors, investors will flee and their states will be poor.

There will still be federal police on only matters involving the federal government. The despot in Aso Rock doesn’t have better management capacity than the governors.

How many wars have NYPD and CPD fought?

Oluku!

You People will march cow dung, sniff their urine and use free basics to come here and posit nonsense.

The FG has enabled Fulani terrorist to maim, kill and abduct Christian citizens relentlessly. Do you expect them to have any iota of faith in this inept system.

I know ignorance is bliss, but sometimes strive to taste the discomfort of wisdom.

It can work if there is a system in place to make it work. If not, these State Governors are criminals too.

Maybe we should start with regional police first

Nigeria governors can't really be trusted when it's comes to State policing.. Even all this security outfit some regions have been creating, 2023 would show if governors are capable of handling state policing

State police no matter how we see it will be better than whatever we have now. Every governor will be responsible for whatever happens in his state unlike what is obtainable now

It’s the job of the FG to defend its territory from both foreign and domestic enemies, that’s why they have the military. So there’s no war that will start, go get some chilled drink to clear your head, and read more about countries that have state and federal police manage disputes

So a well equipped state will fight the military within their state and also go to other states and fight the military and police in all those states? Or they will fight the military in their state and when the military in the whole country is deployed to their state, they will fight and win those ones as well? Please explain to me how that is supposed to happen. I really want to understand what you’re afraid of and why you spend your time looking for problems where there is a solution

These state governors are politicians, not freedom fighters. They would rather dedicate their state resources to better use than declare a war and destruction on their states. They have more opposition and internal enemies within the states to deal with. First of all, state police is not trained to fight wars with fighter jets, armored vehicles, and war ships. That's the job of the army, navy and air force, to defend the country from enemies, foreign and domestic. No politician wants to focus his attention on declaring a war when he has the next election to deal with.

The job of the state is to protect the lives and properties of the citizens of the state, maintain law and order, collect taxes and provide services, and maintain state infrastructure. They need the command of state police to do their jobs, not people taking directives from Abuja.
