Lions Club Is Standing In The Gap For Govt Says Wagbatsoma

The District Governor, International Association of Lion's Clubs, District 404A1 Lion Fortune Wagbatsoma has stated that the Government cannot do it all, hence, the International Association of Lion's Club is complimenting the efforts of the Government by building Infrastructures that has great impacts on the lives of the People.

Lion Wagbatsoma who made stated this today during a Press Briefing with journalists and Members of Lions Club highlighted the numerous contributions of Lion's Club which she said has not only helped the Government but has impacted positively on the lives of the People and the Society at large.

While addressing Journalist, the District Governor revealed her plans, programmes and vision for the club in the 2021 -2022 Lions Year where she said feeding the hungry in Communities, Upgrades of Eye-Clinic at Centre Hospital, Warri, Strengthening of weak clubs and carrying out other meaningfully projects that will better the lives of humanity are few amongst many that will be carried out in this Lion's Year.

According to the DG, there is a great benefits to be a Lion, she said as a Lion it helps you to help others, it helps you to put smile on the faces of many, it's a platform for Development, it gives you avenue for networking and many other benefits too numerous to mention.

She called on all Club Members, Club leaders to Imbibe the spirit of love, unity and Onenes which is embedded in this year theme "BOND OF KINDNESS" as well as to build a stronger bond within ourselves that will last forever, she admonished all Club Members, leaders to hold the bond together for quick actualization of Projects that will add values to the lives of humanity.

"Let's build a stronger bond because when we talk about BOND OF KINDNESS we are also looking at Partnership with others, bonds that will put smile on our faces whenever we thinks of Lion's Club, when there is conflict in your club, resolve it amicably and continue your service to humanity, we must serve in love and unity" Wagbatsoma enthused.
