Many have wondered why the Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzondima was ostensibly absent from the meeting held by his southern colleagues in Lagos, neither was a representative bearing the Governor's agreement in attendance.
It's no longer news that the emergence of Gov. Uzondima was one of the most controversial circumstances, perhaps the presiding justices of the supreme were probably best informed.
Conspiracy theories would lay bare that the federal might had come into full force to secure a state of the South east region where PDP is ideologically and culturally the states' party, extending beyond mere political affiliation.
It remained a miracle that APC was able to resurrect the soul of its party in Imo state after Rochas Okorocha was accused of inordinate manipulations, overbearing influence and a man who was oddly considered as a symbol of a party that seemingly marginalized Ndigbo as being second class citizen. The thought of APC is like a suicide mission to as many Igbo politician under the platform of APC irregardless how qualified and intelligent he may be.

Okorocha was stripped naked and disgraced while Ex governor, Ihedioha was allegedly massively voted, cheered and adored as a breathe of fresh air. But no sooner he prioritized witch-hunting over governance than was ousted through legal process.
Uzondima, on the other hand, would rather set the ball rolling than throw sticks at his predecessors. However, it appeared as though the storm had just begun. The hate for APC became more manifest and people of the region became even more disgruntled at the Presidency.
Uzondima would not want to ruffle feathers with his party, much less the Presidency, so he wouldn't attend any meeting that would see him share an opposing view to that of the President's interests even if it comes at the detriment of the larger southern population. His Southern colleagues couldn't have convinced him either.
Having a bigger expectation ahead, he holds his plans closely to his chest. The Abuja forces were actively working behind the scenes.
The big news came as a surprise to many, most probably, a shocker to the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, who is arguably the most vocal opposition to the present APC Administration. He is the major financer of the opposition party, the PDP. He never would have imagined that the state's major source of wealth would be cut down neither would the indigenes of Rivers. Having less oil income is a major blow to Rivers State irrespective of party but personally, an ego bruise on Wike's megalomaniac personality. While Wike seems to be dumfounded, Uzondima is having a good laugh for being a loyal ally to the President. Rivers's loss is Imo's gain. The federal might at play!
However you look at it, being overtly antagonistic to the government in power is majorly a potential economic loss. The same painful bite was meted out to Governor Ameachi when he put up a very strong rivalry to ex- President Jonathan. Rivers State paid the price of losing some number of oil wells to Bayelsa at the behest of the federal might!.

With the dismantling of Igbos Camps, neutralizing Ipob menance, recovery of oil wells, potential reelection and a lot more benefits, who would blame Uzondima for dwelling under the shadow of the federal might?

Stupid write up. There are more than a thousand oil wells in nigeria. 48 is a small amount
