General Yakubu Gowon, a former Head of State and elder statesman, has warned Nigerian youths not to drag the country into a civil war that could lead to permanent doom for Nigerians. He forewarned that a new civil war would devastate Nigeria in unfathomable ways.

General Gowon issued the warning on Saturday in Abuja, during a public lecture titled “Rejigging Nigeria’s Security Architecture.” Major General Chris Abutu Garuba, a former Bauchi State Governor, represented the former head of state.

Th3 insecurity today is caused by years and years of neglecting the youths, they shouldn't blame us abeg but the greedy old men.

Youths are just looking for other ways to survive which leads them into living a life with questionable taste

chai...I owe you a bottle of beer....I keep telling people this that you just said but Nigerians are too blind to identify their real enemy..we keep fighting ourselves as common men which is exactly what those old politicians want as it will keep their looting activities intact and unchallenged by a collective voice of poor Nigerians...

All these old people better channel all the thoughts, voice in condemning all their cronies both past and present have and are committing. They should leave the youth out of it. They are the ones the caused all the calamities experienced in the country at the moment.
