Technology is the driving force behind how the world operates. Technology has had a profound impact on legal practice in recent years. Everyone has had considerably more access to legal information since the development of the Internet, and this has been the case for decades. Lawyers' legal practice is also evolving. For all legal research, lawyers have relied on books. The majority of legal research is now done electronically using databases like Westlaw and Lexis Nexis. Several technologies have recently emerged. that are significantly changing legal profession.

The digitization and archiving of case law, laws and regulations is one of the most important steps in enabling technology involved law. Recently, Harvard Law School released its entire collection of case law to the public. This has enabled tech companies to aggregate, store, and provide law statistics in ways we haven't seen in the past.

Artificial intelligence is on the rise, and it has the potential to revolutionize legal research. For legal research, a company called ROSS Intelligence has recently begun to use an IBM computer called Waston. Specifically, they tried to get Watson to understand and explain the legal terminology that lawyers use to search for precedents and regulations.

Other companies are working on similar technology that will allow lawyers to entrust contract evaluation to computers. Some companies are even attempting to create smart contracts that can adjust themselves based on a set of variables information's.

People's access to legal information is also altering as a result of chatbots. People now have access to large volumes of legal information thanks to the advancement of smartphone technology. You may now download a variety of apps that allow you to ask legal queries. Sometimes these questions are not actually answered by a real lawyer but by a computer. Consumers have turned to these apps for mundane legal questions they don't want to pay a lawyer to answer.

Improving legal research capabilities and databases is also changing the legal profession. Some databases break down precedents and regulations in some way, allowing users to look up statistics such as the frequency of judges' rules against plaintiffs. The database is now integrating non-legal sources, such as newspapers and articles from the Internet, to provide a wider range of information sources.

With the advancement of technology in the legal sector, an increasing number of bar associations are requiring practitioners to participate in technology-based continuing legal education programs. This means that more senior lawyers will need to learn how to use forms, Westlaw, and the Internet. This is a significant improvement because many lawyers delegate technical work to paralegals and have limited understanding of the state of technology in the legal profession.

Maybe one day there will be no in-person hearings and the judges will decide everything based on computer readings.
