President Buhari could do better!
1. He has consistently balked at the idea of regularly addressing the National Assembly on The State of the Nation citing various reasons especially that he is not Constitutionally required to do so. He displays a lack of empathy for the Country he leads. Good leadership is all about empathy for the led. Empathy drives the Leader to deliver.
2. Dinner with 109 Senators is certainly not the ideal and cost effective setting to discuss matters of State as urgent, crucial and of an emergency dimension as Security given the crowd. That is the reason why the Senate work is broken into Committees. How is he seriously going to do that with the crowd remains to be seen. Instances where such Dinner is had is where, for instance, relations with The Executive is strained and needs to be eased. The 9th Senate appears on all fours with The Executive.
