About 4:00pm, July 14th 2021, the Vice chancellor, Akwa Ibom State University Prof. Nse Essien in company with the SA to the Governor of Akwa Ibom State Comr. Akwaowo Clifford and Men of the DSS and SSS arrived AKSU Gate Main Campus, Ikot Akpaden venue for the ongoing protest.

the Students who has been protesting since Monday due to the recent hike in their school fees waited Patiently for the Vice chancellor Speech only for them to uncover a plot by the Management team in company with the DSS to forcefully take over the school gate.

on Arrival, the Vice chancellor was received by the Students Protesters led by NANS JCC who demanded for immediate reversal of their school fee which was raised from 53k to 103k But instead of addressing the Students the Vice Chancellor demanded that the School gates be open so that him and his team (DSS and SSS who came with 2 long buses) could drive into the school compound before he could address the Students...
