Three people have reportedly been killed after a gang of armed robbers attacked a bank at Ilara Mokin Town in Ifedore Local Government Area of Ondo State on Thursday July 15, Reports.

A policeman, a commercial motorcyclist and a staff of the Elizade University identified as Mr. Bunmi Afuye were killed in the attack.

Eyewitnesses said many others suffered injuries from stray bullets shot by the gang who also carted away an undisclosed amount of money after breaking down the bullet-proof door of the bank with dynamite.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Tee-Leo Ikoro confirmed the incident and further disclosed that a team of policemen had been deployed in the scene while investigation had commenced.

It is risky, waste of time and waste of logistics to rob a bank in an ear that a new window of banditry and kidnapping opportunities are being encouraged and widened by the APC government.
