Not impossible. He was former Army Provost. His responsibility included arrest and discipline of soldiers. The thing is that his wife was also kidnapped after he was killed.

Nigerian Army would have sprayed our Mothers with groundnuts from their Aks for failing to provide their children.

Our able bodied youths who have
no clue on how, who killed the Major, would all be running for their dear lives. If you don't run you are on your own. Because if you're caught you'd be tortured like a felon, and labelled a killer.

You are going to smell your yansh and see pepper with your eyes. You will be made to swim dirty ponds, filty gutters and all manners of inhumane treatment would be fully metted on you.
Sadly some innocent civilians who know nothing about the whole story would be killed, and secretly buried in shallow graves. Another case of missing person. Because their families would search for and never find them.
