The issue of electronic voting and credible elections are closely related these days and times of technological advancement in credible democratic process. For those who still live in the past, technology will definitely consume them over time.

However, there are some important things that are salient about the unwilling support by some elements of Nigerian politics for electronic voting. Others who don't belong to this clique and blindly supporting these designed section embedded in the electoral bill and who may not have thought about the impending danger that will set a path to generational slavery to these clique, are in support because of their incumbency in power.

For the avoidance of doubt, these sections are aimed at creating a life long perpetuality in power alongside their blood lines, relatives ,friends and cronies who will definitely or are probably enjoying such benefit now . Then, who is going to change it where they occupy sensitive and important positions in government?

Those who are blindly supporting because of incumbency will eventually expire either by death or by circumstances including but not limited to: political grudges, ethnicity grudges, or vendetta. This class of people will be the bridge to take the clique across to their life long ambition thereby, conceding the future of their generations now and yet unborn to this said slavery. Unfortunately, they don't seem to read between the lines.

To this end, it make sense they do a rethink and thread the path of life long honour by going against these draconic clause in the bill. So that even in death their families, friends, well wishers and children will continue to remember their good work and also their names etched on the wall of heroes of Nigerian history of patriots.

Section 50(2), which completely outlaws transmission of votes by electronic means was rejected by our selfish lawbreakers. Shame
