1. Each apostle represents a tribe? Interesting view, however, recall that only 11 of the first 12 survived. So was it really about the 12 tribes?

2.. Ever wondered why that was for women? undecided
1. Yes, it was.

Judas was replaced Y'know, the apostles held a meeting and elected Matthias but if you seek my personal opinion on this matter I would say that Christ set aside someone for Judas' replacement.

He was a religious terrorist who later became "an apostle of grace". His name is Paul.

Paul was a lawyer and was going to become a member of the Sanhedrin, the Jewish Supreme Court of 71 men who ruled over Jewish life and religion. His CV pure grin

2. That matter go long bro, make we free am.

The 12 were simply the first.... they didn't necessarily a more direct or closer.relationship to Jesus Christ than the rest. They were simply the first of the group. undecided

They did.
In fact, they were so close, those who were out to get Jesus couldn’t tell him apart from his apostles.
Jesus Christ knew he couldn’t do his work alone, he knew he needed help, and so when his ministry began, he chose 12men and called each by their names.
He even knew their families. (Remember Peter’s mother-in-law)
They were particularly chosen for a purpose.

1. How exactly do you have the 12 representing the 12 tribes? Even John and james were brothers from the same tribe. There isn't much said to indicate Matthias was from the same tribe as the one he replaced. undecided

2. Genesis 3 vs 16 - the woman was cursed to be ruled over by her husband. But in Jesus Christ, even she has been redeemed from the condemnation of sin , God's judgment on man for His sin since Adam- Genesis 3 vs 14 - 17

Jesus Christ knew a lot of people and their families...He visited stayed over at the home of people who were not His apostles. He was close to a lot of the sinners since He came to call the sinners to God. Consider the story of Lazarus and His sisters. They were sinners who Jesus Christ helped and visited with. Lazarus was not an apostle and there is no evidence to suggest He became a follower of Jesus Christ even after His resurrection but He was loved by Jesus Christ. undecided

Again, His apostles were the first chosen but the suggestion that He was closest to them does not sell much when you consider the stories in entirety. One would need to even go as far as defining close in this case. Are there things that Jesus Christ only did with His disciples, the 12, that He never did with His other apostles? undecided

I live in the West... tell me about it. Such perversions are everywhere in the newspapers practically every day. All evil all the time... (sigh).

It is well. May God deliver us still.

Just thinking about it. Why was there no woman among Jesus' disciples? What do you think?

Purposely the chosen/selected 12 disciples were numbered as the 12 tribes(sons) of Israel.
That is not to say there were not disciples who were women.

You are 100% wrong. There were 12 disciples. Apostles are numerous. The 12 disciples are the direct followers of Jesus, who had direct and close relationship with him.

I think you need to check up the Holy Bible and get it right. A disciple is simply put an apprentice/learner and follower of someone. The 12 disciples amongst many were specifically chosen so as to learn directly and closely the teaching/doctrine/ways/lifestyle of Jesus Christ. Those who had a very close intimate relationship and knowledge of Him. That was why you can see the replacement of Judas Iscariot in Acts of the Apostles and the conditions that were used to cast lots to get his replacement.

An Apostle(Messenger) is one who has a direct encounter with Christ Jesus and is specifically being told by Him to preach the Gospel of Truth/Salvation. A well known example is Apostle Paul. That is Scripture.

To me, Jesus just avoided their wahala.

Jesus was building his church. The foundation {Revelations 21:14} must be the gender that's duly recognized by the angels {1Corinthians 11:10} and as a former spirit being he knew that those who are going to head the congregation will deal with angels and angels don't recognize the headship of females that's why he appointed only mails as head over his church! Luke 6:13

God bless you and may you have PEACE! smiley

From Matt 26: 47-50

Even among his apostles, there were some he was closer to than the others. (Closer does not mean he loved them more though)

Remember when he took Peter, James, and John apart to the mountain where he was transfigured? After the experience they witnessed, he gave them instructions to tell no man of it until he was risen. Matt 17.
Peter later testified of that experience.

1. Matthew 26 vs 47 - 50 tells that Jesus Christ had to identify Jesus Christ to the soldiers/ armed guards who were sent to arrest Him, which makes sense since they were not the Pharisees and priests who regularly did the plotting to kill Jesus Christ. undecided

2. There is no indication given that the reason Jesus Christ took Peter, James and John up the mountain with Him was because He, Jesus Christ, was closer to those three than the others. It seems more likely that He chose those 3 as witnesses - by the account of 2 or 3 witnesses shall every Truth be established according to both the Old and New Covenants - other than to suggest that He was closer to them. undecided
