No doubt, Nairaland is Nigeria's number one social media platform and so far so good, the platform never disappoints, thanks to the admins.

Fabricated and malicious stories have been published on their website against individuals, ethnic and religious groups, and organisations but due to the timely intervention by the admins and commenters who noticed these posts, swift action has been taken to nip this kind of cruelty in the bud.

I have personally come across several posts that after reading them, I have the feeling that they look like fake news and that the link provided is also false.

Seun and his team that include Lalasticlala, mynd44 and other admins have taken down such posts, especially when users decide to report a particular story and they find that it breaches their rules and regulations. Within minutes, they take down such posts.

If only Facebook, Twitter, IG and others could emulate Nairaland, then online racism will be nipped in the bud.

For this, I say kudos to the Nairaland team.
