Top Nigerian Artists Popping Up In The Music Industry Right Now by ifecooluwasen: 12:19am On Jul 19, 2021
Nigerian music has a fascinating history. After many years, we have finally witnessed the old guard's changes slow down. Similarly, the young bucks have taken over.

Rap music has also risen to prominence as the new king. And, while the music world is ever-changing, the dust has finally settled. So these are the top Nigerian artists who are currently making waves in the music industry.

Oladapo

The 2019 single “Gbe Gbodi” by Oladapo Tonades (sweet, syrupy voice and captivating images) is enough to convince you. As if that weren't enough, his first single "Man Go" pays homage to the classic single "Konko Under," naming Blow, Burna Boy, and Ragbaja as his key influences. Oradapo is a fantastic name.

Burna Boy

No other Nigerian artist can match the singer's grateful scene. On Jimmy Kimmel Live, he performed the single "Anyone," then on Jimmy Fallon's "The Tonight Show," he did more harm and everything. People Medley Berna boya (Burna boy) was interviewed on The Daily Show by Trevor Noah (Trevernoah). In 2019, he also performed “Ye and Anybody Medley” at Coachella (which led to the release of his album “African Giant”), was interviewed on Big Boy Neighborhood, and was featured in a Wall Street Journal piece. Nigerian musicians rarely get access to these sites.

Tiwa Savage

Tiwa Savage entered 2020 with "Dangerous Love" as a tuner after the summer of 2019. The song "Koloba" is followed by Sam Smith's immensely successful "Temptation." Her studio album "Celia" came next, followed by Naira Marley's song video "Ole." She has also been nominated for multiple MOBO Awards, MTV African Music Awards, and Grand Prix.

She has also appeared in notable theatre shows and the 2020 MOBO Hours. Similarly, she appeared in Billboard alongside David and Easy.

Rema

Rema did not release any new work in 2020 as she did in 2019. However, he released “Aliens” and “Beamer (Bad Boy)” with Rvssian in early 2020. In the second quarter of 2020, he also won “Dumebi (Remix)” and Becky G (Becky G) on Manny Norte's single “4 Am.” TikTok Nigeria's hottest song list is at the top of the list.

He later released the singles "Ginger Me" and "Woman," both of which are popular in Nigeria. As he attempts to "date" his top fans, his strength grows day by day. Her Twitter rim disables social media for a day, and his haircut is popular all over.

Fireboy

When Fireboy released his second album, Apollo, the laughter, tears, and goosebumps were still flowing. Fortunately, the album's handling and performance are great. Fireboy wasn't a huge success in 2020, but he expanded beyond music to become a generalist. In addition, he liked Recollections, Kewpie, Peruzzi, and other features.

With nine nominations in 2020, Headies was the most nominated artist. At the 2020 MOBO Awards, he was also nominated for Best African Law.

Wizkid

In the second half of 2019, “Baba nla” did not perform. Soundman Vol. 1 is the title of the EP. It's a 1. Wizkid sung the wonderful song "Smile," which won a Grammy, after a sequence of experiences accompanied by features from DJ Tunes and Blaq Jerzee's track "Arizona."

The album's success (both critically and commercially) established WizKid's reputation and continued to expand his fan base. The album debuted at number 80 on the Billboard 200 and reached the top 10 on Spotify's global album charts. It happens to be the same week as Taylor Swift and Sam Smith.

Davido

David was on his way to unveiling the COVID-19 in early 2020. As a result, he was stuck in the house and had a better time. The infamous Burna Boy song "FEM" follows. This will eventually become the national anthem of Nigeria's End SARS struggle. Nobody knows what is going on.

He also released "Jowo," although his video is not of the year and does not include any comments. David was also in Mallorkun's "Betty Butter," Ajebo Hustler's "Balawo (Remix)," and Orakira's "Maserati (Remix)." He also released "So Crazy" with Lil Baby, but it was not widely distributed.

Omah Lay

Omah Lay appears to have won the debut of Steve Nash or Kobe Bryant, while rarely being chosen MVP for his debut. He literally won the batch game and turned it into a star-studded game by throwing three points without blinking.

“Bad Impact” was the most played Nigerian song on Apple Music at the end of 2020. He made the most of the building blocks and played to his advantage for a largely unknown child until February 2020. Until you get rid of the "negative influence," "you" appear to be a winner. Because the sky does not appear to be slowing down, it is in the present beginning position.

Mayorkun

Mayorkun appeared to be the hottest move in Nigeria 2020 by 2020, and he may have dismissed all employment during the blockage. As a young artist, he let go of the final vestiges of his youth and placed his trust in him. He appears to be a male.

He has the potential to develop as an artist and continuously dominate this feature while offering cross-flow visibility. From B-category vocalists to those who began to demonstrate A-category traits, his game was difficult.

Simi

Shimisora (Shimi), a musician and the CEO of Studio Brat, will be one of Nigeria's top ten hottest performers in 2020. Pop music distribution will commence in 2020, following more than five years of successful music activities in the sector. Ladipo's song recognizes you.

Despite having children and being overseas, Stains 2020 has been ridiculous since January. With their help, Ladi Poe won his first hit album, and "Duduke" became the national song on Nigerian streets. In Nigeria in 2020, this is likely to be the greatest number.
