Bishop Oyedepo and his Living Faith Church sacked 4o pastors barely a year after being hired by the church for not meeting targets.


Their parish or assembly were not making enough money to cover the cost of their salary and other running cost as such they were disengaged.

MY THOUGHTS:

Pentecostalism is extreme capitalism and one of the biggest and wide spread business humans have created for themselves.

Your GOs do not care about saving your soul from an eternal damnation. All the care about is the money they are going to get from you.

So back to my question,

Is Bishop David Oyedepo A Real Man of God or A Businessman?

From own observations analysis Oyedepo is a business man of God

Work of God is serious business. So you have to concentrate on it with all ur being

The confusion about some top preachers and their ministries stems from a bad understanding of money and the money system.

Money is created by man to facilitate exchange of goods and services. Money is given value by products in their useful life.
The church of God is not one without material needs. To meet these needs money is needed to get what's needed. It is unwise for every worshipper to come to church with their products or services. Perishables and intangible goods will be a nightmare for the church to.manage before exchanging for needs. This leads us to the stage where the church accepts money to meet needs. Also, there are full-time ministers who depend on church income wholly and part-time ministers who do partially. Running a church or ministry is a tasking job with lots of material needs.

Business or no Business, he fails to preach the bible accurately, leading to him misleading people and making so much money from Nigerians, likewise other pastors too, therefore it has become a norm.

I wouldn't say he is not a man of God because anybody can be man of God

Dem say "Jesus is coming", dem say "the kingdom is at hand", dem say "we're in the end times", dem say "rapture is almost here", dem say "earthly things will Perish, earthly things are useless in heaven" but yet dem dey build massive enterprises, dem dey collect money (the so called root of all evil ), dem dey build schools wey their members no fit afford, but yet people still think say dem believe say heaven and hell exist.
