The system could get hacked, get a virus.
It could freeze or lag.
Let's do it the manual way, protect our vote and vote credible leaders.
the same so called credible leader like buhari right, lol.
The same Buhari that shed tears back then when he was losing elections just to deceive many nigerians to earn their sympathy.
Eyes don open.

It's not true. Senator Abaribe explain how result are transfer electronically. After counting all the votes in a particular polling station all the party rep will sign the result paper the result will be scan with phone and send to INEC office where it will be put online before the orininal transported to the Head quarters.

This is a lame excuse from a bunch of corrupt individuals.
Transmission of results electronically is not e-Voting like some people are ignorantly claiming.
Re: Fear Of Hacking Made APC Senators Vote Against Electronic Transfer Of Results by Ngasky(m): 8:10am On Jul 22, 2021
Even USA is not fully ready for electronic collation of results. Since 2000 they always have one issue or the other on the method of transmission on every single election whereby sometimes they have to go for manual recount. Check 2000, 2004, 2008, 2012, 2016 and the recently 2020 US elections.
Yes, Technology is good but remember the repercussions. Even last week Microsoft has to make a public warning to disable printer spooling application from windows software because of the recently found vulnerability detected which can be used to hack systems. This printer spooling application has been updated twice in the last 3 months and the same problem arises again. And this is from the world's biggest and most advanced operating system software.
In 2010 when I was doing my service in OYO state we are the registration officers that did the data capture registration for INEC. The first few days there was this problem of fingerprint not capturing. I have experience on Linux operating system, so I was able to enter the linux core system and open the fingerprint module. i found out that the accepted percent was originally 95% i change it to 50% and it started accepting fingerprints of eligible voters. The following day before going to our respective registration points i did the same thing to three other systems of my friends/colleagues and it works perfectly. so it became normal every single day i will do it for some systems before we set out in the morning. This continues untill when the technical team of INEC came with the update, this update is nothing but they reduce the percentage from 95% to 40%. That is when the registration start moving fast.
I gave the above example to show how vulnerable the INEC computer was. and imagine if the result is to be transferred what i can make the system to do.
Any one that has experience on Linux or Unix system understands what i am talking about. and about 95% of servers on the internet or running Linux operating system.
INEC is also running Linux system 100% . so all a single person need is the root password of the server you can do and undo, or a team of those with linux experience to enter into as many as possible systems on the election day and temper with the system. this is possible because there is no single operating system that doesn't have backdoor port it just depend on the know how of the intending hacker to find it. And if you know how to cover your track it will take years before someone notice your malicious single line of code.
The only way to secure a computer 100% is to make it offline 100% which will be useless in this INEC saga

Useless people. How many times had the money they transferred to their baby mamas got hacked midway? What about the interviews they always grant channels tv via Skype and zoom in their remote villages? Each party member would still have hard copies of transmitted results, duly signed, in case of any disagreement. Their rigging plans have failed on arrival. Even the election result hacking claimed by trump in the last year's election was false. The manual counting had proved him wrong . Biden even got more votes by resorting to manual counting. Nonsense

Nigeria not ripe for e- voting in 2023 So when do we become ripe like mango
is nigeria even ripe for democracy?
There are many things we are not ripe for.

Even card readers couldn't work effectively in 2015.
ïf we had depended entirely on card readers in 2015 then half of the total eligible voters would have been disenfranchised.

Inec and pdp should goan sit down.

Fifty APC senators and two of their counterparts in the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) voted against the electronic transmission of election results in the forthcoming general elections, a decision that has been widely condemned by Nigerians.

The north want to write the election results like they used to just for Apc to come back in 2023. That's the master plan why they are putting that clause may.

Just imagine what that cow is saying that Nigeria is not yet ripe, that's why we're not going forward because people who would have moved the country forward are saying we are not yet ripe to move forward, not that the money isn't there to put these things in place. Top European countries which alot of Nigerians run to don't have a half of what we have but they are far ahead of us. Imagine we still had Jonathan as president, not to talk if a cow.

Nigerian elections results have always been hacked into. With or without electronic transmission, ballots will always be filled up more than the number of votes cast.
