The second edition of the webometrics which tracks the relevance of university academic publications publish online has been released.

The new ranking witnesses little change in the top five ranking. The top 10 is dominated by eight federal universities, with the University of Ibadan leading the whole Nigerian ranking and ranking 18th in all of Africa.

Covenant University remains the second best for the whole of Nigeria and the current 21st best in all of Africa.

Someone has all two of his private universities competing strongly with heavily funded, decades old federal universities for top 10 in Nigeria. Do you think he got there by encouraging unproductivity?

you don't produce toothpick because your leaders are not serious about industrialisation. They prefer collecting customs duty that they can loot too easily than creating jobs for young people.

For that kind of country, even Harvard cannot be of help.
